![]() There's lots of whinging on here about how flying schools only have ancient aircraft that are only fit for the scrapheap, but then we expect them to sit there and take it when someone sets up an operation that undercuts them. ![]() Insurance? Same levels? Flyteam are (presumably) a business who need to turn a profit or die, and a guy who rents his aircraft out for a contribution to his operating costs is threatening their business. So Duncan, how can you legally rent out an aircraft for hire and reward without being a commercial operation? (perhaps you are, but that's pretty big costs for operating just one aircraft) Call me an old sceptic, but are you sure that we're comparing apples with apples here? For example, Flyteam are presumably a commercial operation, with and AOC and all the costs associated with that.
